Our Mission
At AES, ALL Panthers ROAR!
At Amherst Elementary, we believe that ALL students can be leaders, learners, and kind community members. Our ROARS expectations guide behavior throughout the school and help create a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for everyone.
R – Respectful: We treat all people with kindness and care. We use positive words and actions, and we follow directions the first time.
O – On Task: We stay focused on learning. We listen, follow directions, and make sure we’re in the right place doing the right thing.
A – Accountable: We take responsibility for our own choices. We admit mistakes, work to fix them, and always strive to improve.
R – Responsible: We take care of ourselves, our belongings, and our school community. We come ready to learn, every day.
S – Success: At AES, ALL Panthers can achieve success. We work hard, make good choices, support one another, and celebrate growth – big and small.
