Rooted in over five decades of educational excellence, Amherst Elementary School (AES) is proud to be a place where students go FAR—Focused, Accountable, and Respectful. With a strong sense of community and Panther pride, AES empowers students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Originally opened in 1970 as a school for grades 4–7, Amherst Elementary transitioned in the early 1980s to serve PreK through 5th grade students. This shift reflected the school’s growing role as a foundation for lifelong learning in the Amherst community.
Whether it's a student's first day of PreK or their final walk across the stage in 5th grade, every child is known, supported, and celebrated.
Panther Proud!
You will go FAR when you are Focused, Accountable, and Respectful!
