School hours:

Drop off begins at 8:40am and ends at 9:00am.

Instructional time begins at 9:00am. If your student is not in class by 9:05 they are considered tardy and an adult must come into the front office to sign them in.

Dismissal begins at 3:45pm and ends at 4:05pm. If your student is not picked up by 4:05, we will be contacting the parent or guardian. If we still do not get in touch with you, we will begin calling everyone on the emergency contact list until we get

AES Policies for Transportation and Dismissal:

Cut off time for picking up a student is 3:30pm. After 3:30, you must get in the car rider line to pick up your student unless there is a special circumstance the office staff are already aware of.

We are not allowing walk ups for drop off or pick up. Unless you have a special circumstance that has been approved by the principal, you must drop off and pick up your student in the car rider line.  It is our #1 priority to get students to and from their cars and buses as safely as possible each day. We have a lot of cars and buses coming and going in the parking lot in the mornings and afternoons which is why it's not safe to be walking up to the school during this time. We appreciate your understanding with this.

Transportation changes for dismissal cannot be made after 3:15pm. We understand that emergencies will come up from time to time and changes will need to be made after 3:15pm, but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to relay the transportation change to your student and their teacher in time due to the school preparing for dismissal after 3:15pm.

*We MUST hear from a parent or guardian regarding transportation changes. We will not take your student’s word on how they are getting home nor can we accept someone who is not a parent or guardian changing a student’s transportation. If we are not able to get in contact with you before dismissal, your student will be instructed to do their normal transportation routine.

Student pick up reminder: If your student is being picked up by someone that may not be on their pick up list, please either send a note with your student or email Mrs. Dowdy to let her know who will be picking your student up. If your student will be riding home with another student as a car rider, please also send a note in or email Mrs. Dowdy.

*We MUST hear from a parent or guardian regarding who is picking up a student in written form. If you are not a legal parent or guardian for the student, you will not be able to determine how the student is getting home.
We cannot take verbal permission over the phone. It has to be written consent. We like to have everything in writing in case something were to be questioned, we have it in writing from the parent or guardian.

Absent Notes: Please remember to send in notes when your student has been absent. These can either be brought in by your student or emailed to Mrs. Dowdy.
