AES Red Ribbon Spirit Week 10/26-10/30

On October 26th - October 30th, Amherst Elementary will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week. During this time, students will learn about drugs, alcohol, and tobacco products and how they can negatively affect their bodies. They will also learn about peer pressure and most importantly, how to say NO if they ever find themselves in a situation where others are offering them dangerous substances. The week will consist of lots of fun activities and an opportunity for students to sign a pledge to be drug, alcohol, and tobacco free. We will kick off the activities on Monday with our Red Ribbon Spirit Week. Please talk with your children at home about the importance of this special week and about making healthy choices in their own lives.
